Waiting on stats, the Spartans came out and put the hammer down with that 15-0 run to open. They've slowed down in the second, but I don't think NC can hang. Too much Gibler inside and their big man (6'7" Anderson) can't hang.
The fans have been into this one from the get go. According to BI AD Neal White, they had five rooter buses to the game today and they may have more tomorrow.
stats -- Gibler and Gray with eight points, Wood with six, Davis with six, Sharar with three.
BI controls the glass 21-13.
NC's leading scorer is Anderson with four. They shot -- check this -- 2/23 for 8.7 percent. Good golly.
